Fulbright Specialist Program (Specialist)


ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The 2-6 week Program offers American scholars to be expert advisors and lecturers on a variety of subject areas at Thai institutions. Activities under the Program could include but not limited to lectures, seminars/workshops, needs assessment, surveys, institutional or programmatic research, faculty development, curriculum development, and teacher training.

PROCEDURE

Thai institution submits an application to Fulbright Thailand who will process it to the Council for International Education Services (CIES) for consideration and approval.

ELIGIBILITY OF THE SCHOLARS

Must registered in CIES roster (www.cies.org/specialists)

NOTES FOR THAI HOST INSTITUTIONS

Host institution may or may not have particular American expert for the Program at time of application. In case the specific expert has been preferred, host institution is required to mention name and his/her contact information in the registration form. In case no specific name is identified, Fulbright will do the matching according to the proposed nature of the Program.

The Program is cost-sharing. Host institution is required to bear the Specialistís expenses on accommodation, meal, and in-country travel relevant to the Program. The Program covers international travel and daily allowance of the Specialist.
