Kendra McKechnie is from Middletown, NJ and graduated from Marist College with a bachelorís degree in secondary French education and her New York State Teaching Certification. She is currently a 2014-2015 Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at Sansai Wittayakom in Chiang Mai. Next year Kendra will further her studies in international education management with the goal of advising and supporting university students who wish to pursue an education abroad. She will continue to study new languages and seek out new experiences in foreign cultures. Kendraís narrative explores the Utimate Frisbee community in her province, how it has welcomed her into the country and further her love of the sport.
Christopher Marshall is from Highland Park, New Jersey and graduated from Earlham College with a bachelor's degree in History with a focus on Colonial America. He is currently a 2014-2015 Fulrbight English Teaching Assistang at Warin Chamrabh Lab School in the Ubon Ratchathani province. Next year Chris plans to apply to graduate schools and teaching programs with the goal of becoming a special education teacher. In addition Chris will be taking a 6 month hiking trek travelling from Mexico to Canada across the Pacific coast of the United States. In his narrative, Chris shares with us about how his running activity became much more than just a way to exercise--running has allowed him to introduce himself to the locals and at the same time helped exposed him to Thai culture.
