Thailand-Untied States Educational Foundation (TUSEF/Fulbright Thailand) was honored to host the Third Mid-Year Enrichment Conference for U.S. Scholars and Students in Southeast Asia under the theme “America’s Engagement in Southeast Asia: The Role of People-to-People Ties in Strengthening Connections” during March 16-20, 2011 in Bangkok.
The Conference gathered some 70 American Fulbright scholars and students in the region to share and to learn from each other’s experiences academically and personally while forging the network of friendship and cooperation among them. In particular, we found the presentations and relevant discussions at the Conference resourceful and beneficial to those doing researches in the region.
As a result, we compiled the abstracts and notes taken at the Conference into a compendium hoping that it would provide interested scholars and researchers some useful information. Indeed, this collection of existing works could be a stepping stone to further study and cooperation between ASEAN and the U.S.
