By Ms. Srinuan Boontham (Fulbrighter 2007 - Special Administrator Exchange Program)
Ajarn Srinuans alert preparation for her Fulbright program made her achieve her dream with fruitful advantages. After having taught English for many years and hosting many American grantees, she finally witnessed with her own eyes American ways of life and culture through the first Fulbright Special Administrator Exchange Program. Ajarn Srinuan recalled her three weeks abroad with in a joyful and positive manner, like a sponge that absorbs all the useful knowledge and views the differences as a challenge to gain. She experienced the differences between the two learning environments that could be beneficially adjusted to the Thai students. With great emphasis on reading, American children have been instilled love of reading at their earliest age and so she could find people reading everywhere. Apart from U.S. educational administration and a sense of leadership, she learned to work as a team to solve instant problems. She realized that as a Fulbrighter, she found herself connected to a network of professionals of the same career from different parts of the country, who could finally become friends for the next chapter of her career. She has made this pilot program rewarding and promised to be a resourceful grantee for further meaningful contribution.
